How projects were selected and approved for UK Shared Prosperity Fund support.
The final decision on project selection was made by each local authority across North Wales. The Flintshire Economic Recovery Group, comprising representatives from strategic county wide and regional organisations, considered the applications’ appraisal and assessed how the proposed projects relate to the UKSPF priorities and how they support the priority interventions.
The Group also considered how the projects address local needs and challenges and how they fit within a local context.
The Group then recommended those projects to receive UKSPF support to senior representatives of the County Council who made the final decision on how the funding should be allocated and which projects should be approved.
