Neighbourhood Wardens

Target Hardening

The Wardens provide and fit target hardening equipment to residents living in Flintshire who have been the victims of crime, or are deemed ‘vulnerable’. They also visit members of the community to provide safety advice and reassurance, upon request. Referrals for this service can be made direct to the Wardens or via Neighbourhood Watch. 

Referrals for Domestic Abuse related incidents that require target hardening, the ‘Homesafe’ scheme, should be referred direct to the Neighbourhood Wardens.

For incidents which needs more specialized or electrical target hardening equipment e.g. cameras, referrals should be made to Neighbourhood Watch.

Graffiti and Fly Tipping

The graffiti removal service has now been incorporated by Streetscene, however the Wardens are able to make referrals for the removal of graffiti, fly tipping and littering, if necessary.

Patrols

The Wardens undertake patrols as part of their daily duties, and target specific hotspot areas.
