Do you want to make a positive difference to someone’s life?

Flintshire Communities For Work (CFW) is working in partnership with the Council’s Workforce Development Team to deliver another ‘Pathway into Social Care’ training programme.

This programme gives local people an opportunity to gain the training and skills necessary to work in the Social Care, providing care and support to the most vulnerable in our society.

Would you like to be part of this unique and exciting opportunity to develop both your career and personality?  Would you like the opportunity to gain accredited training and gain the skills necessary to apply for jobs within the Social Care Sector?

If so, sign up for the training which will take place at Council offices at Ty Dewi Sant, Ewloe, starting on Monday 24 October and will run all week until Friday 28 October.

The five full days of training will include:

• Moving and Positioning Passport

• Medication course

• Infection Control

• Food Safety

• Epilepsy & Rescue Medication

• Health and Safety Basic Awareness

• Safeguarding Awareness Children and Adults

At the end of the programme local care employers will be on hand to provide information on available vacancies for participants to apply.

CFW is a voluntary programme to help those adults furthest away from the labour market into employment. The programme targets long term unemployed and economically inactive adults and 16-24 year olds not in employment education or training from across Flintshire. It seeks to increase their employability and to move into or closer to employment.
