Calling all Flintshire tradespeople

An exciting opportunity for Flintshire tradespeople to showcase their products and services takes place next week.

Flintshire County Council is supporting Wall-Lag (Wales) to host a Meet the Buyer event at Beaufort Park Hotel on Tuesday, April 23 from 8am to 1pm.

Wall-Lag, the Council’s main contractor for domestic energy works, is looking to engage with all local traders from plumbers, electricians and painter/decorators to groundworkers, joiners, tilers and more.

It is part of a plan to contract work out to small businesses/tradespeople due to the growing contracts with partners including Flintshire County Council, as well as other local authorities, Clwyd Alyn, North Wales Housing and Grwp Cynefin.

Our Flintshire Business Development team will also be there, alongside Business Wales and CITB, to offer free support and guidance to people to help grow their businesses.

There is a huge potential for local trades to grow and become part of our supply chain. Flintshire County Council chief officer for Planning, Environment & Economy, said: “We are pleased to be supporting the Wall-Lag Meet the Buyer event. This is a great opportunity for local contractors to learn about new projects, contracts, and supply chain opportunities.”
