A Flintshire Registrar who has offiated the weddings of thousands of local couples is retiring.
Noelle Baston, Superintendent Registrar at Flintshire County Council, is leaving at the end of September following 27 years dedicated to the Registration Service.
Based at the Register Office at Llwynegrin Hall in Mold, Noelle registers births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships.
Over the last three decades, she has married around 3,000 couples and has been proud to play a part in their special day.
Cabinet member for Corporate Services, Councillor Linda Thomas said: “Noelle has dedicated the last 27 years to the Registration Service and has supported families across Flintshire and further afield to register important life events.
“On behalf of the Council and especially her colleagues within the Registration Service I wish her a happy and healthy retirement”.
Leading the Registration Service through several high-profile changes over the years, Noelle will retire to spend more time with her husband Pete and two sons.
Rebecca Jones, Customer Contact Service Manager said: “The Registration Service will wave goodbye to the most dedicated person when Noelle retires at the end of the month. Noelle has always put our customers first, supporting people at the worst time of their life when registering a death, to helping others celebrate special moments when conducting marriages.
“It’s now time for Noelle to relax, especially between April to September which is peak wedding season, and enjoy time with her family. Noelle will be greatly missed and we all wish her a very happy retirement.”
