Free training for Holywell Town Centre businesses

Published: 10/02/2015

Holywell town centre businesses are being encouraged to attend two free training sessions which are taking place in the town soon. On Tuesday 24 February, Coleg Cambria will provide a session on Marketing and Customer Service Excellence. Then on Tuesday 3 March, the Retail Skills Academy at Llandrillo College will run a session called Engaging with your customers in the 21st century. Both courses are provided thanks to support from the Welsh Government’s Town Partnerships fund. They will run from 5.30pm to 7.30pm and will be held at Holywell Library. Holywell town centre businesses are invited to attend either or both sessions. Karen Lloyd from The Flower Bowl in the town is a member of the informal Holywell Business Group. She said: ’I think these short training courses are really good. Although I’ve run my own business for many years there are always new things to learn and it is good to keep up to date with the latest trends and ideas. Cllr Derek Butler, Cabinet Member for Economic Development, said: This is a great opportunity and the training is completely free to any Holywell town centre business. However, places are limited and must be booked in advance. You can book your place by contacting Clare Madders, Regeneration Project Officer at Flintshire County Council via email to clare.madders@flintshire.gov.uk or phone her on 01352 703225.
