Recruitment firm opens Queensferry office with support from Deeside street enhancement scheme

A training and recruitment company has opened in Queensferry, with the help of grant support from Flintshire County Council. The Council has provided grant support for building works for Enbarr Recruitment and Training, as part of its Deeside street frontage enhancement grant scheme. The scheme is funded by the Welsh Government Vibrant and Viable Places programme which allocates money to regenerate counties across Wales. The scheme provides grants for property owners and tenants to refurbish shop fronts and commercial building frontages as an important step towards enhancing the local shopping and trading experience in the Deeside town centres. The grant support received by Enbarr Recruitment and Training has enabled them to carry out a number of improvement works, including new windows to improve the street frontage, new signs, updating and improving the guttering, painting the building and repairing the brick work. Grants to improve the external appearance of shops and commercial premises in the town centres of Connah’s Quay, Garden City, Shotton and Queensferry are still available through the County Council. Councillor Derek Butler, Cabinet Member for Economic Development said: “I would like to congratulate Enbarr Recruitment and Training and wish them every success with their venture, which is bringing the former NatWest bank building back into productive use as a training and recruitment office. The Vibrant and Viable Places programme recognises the important role that town centres and shopping areas play in the life of Flintshire. An attractive street which is well designed and well managed can improve the vibrancy and viability of Deeside’s town centres and encourage other investment. We would welcome the opportunity to support the development of other businesses in the area. This venture has been made possible through partnership working with the Council. A maximum grant of up to £15,000 per property is available, with the grant funding available of up to 50 per cent of the total cost of the improvements.
