Emergency Services Day

Members and officers of Flintshire County Council, together with colleagues representing the emergency services gathered outside County Offices, Flint this morning (Monday, 9 September) to mark ‘Emergency Services Day’ and the Chair of Flintshire County Council, Councillor Marion Bateman raised the 999 flag.
Councillor Bateman said;
‘The United Kingdom’s Emergency Services day is an opportunity for everyone to remember the contribution which all of our emergency services: The Ambulance Service, the Coast Guard, the Fire and Rescue Service, the Police and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution makes to all our lives.
This is the second year that such an event has been held and the timing and date are significant: 9am on the ninth day of the ninth month.
