Childrens Art Week comes to Flintshire

Childrens Art Week (13 to 21 June) will see thousands of children, their teachers and their families descending on visual arts venues, schools, libraries and youth and community organisations across the UK, to be inspired, engaged and entertained by art. In Flintshire, children and their families can come and join Ruth Thomas and Fakhra Richardson to create beautiful mono prints to celebrate Children’s Art Week on the theme of ‘Plants and Bugs’. Councillor Chris Bithell, Cabinet Member for Education, said: These workshops are suitable for all ages and abilities but children under eight will need to be accompanied by an adult. Participants will be using a variety of printmaking techniques to make artwork based on ‘Plants and Bugs’ in various locations across Flintshire. All workshops are free but booking is essential as spaces are limited to 12 children per workshop.
