Rationalising Council assets

Flintshire County Councils County Offices in Wepre Drive, Connah’s Quay are about to be demolished. It has always been the intention to demolish the building with the opening of the new Connah’s Quay Flintshire Connects which now provides local people with access to Council and library services in one central location. No decision has yet been made about the future of the site which will assist in creating a wider regeneration opportunity for the area. Cllr Bernie Attridge, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Environment, said: “The demolition of County Offices Connah’s Quay is one element of our property rationalisation programme which seeks to make better use of our existing office space, when combined with the adoption of new agile working arrangements this is reducing the number of office buildings the Council needs in the future
