Garden Wildlife Fun Day

A garden wildlife fun day is being held at Wepre Park in Connah’s Quay on Sunday 14 June, as part of Wales Biodiversity Week 2015. Four activities will run in two sessions on the day – the morning session will be from 10.30 to 12.30, and the afternoon session will be 1.30pm to 3.30pm. The activities (which will all run in both the morning and the afternoon sessions) are a print making workshop, a planting session in The Old Hall garden, a bug box building workshop and soil surveys run by the OPAL project*. For all the activities, please meet at the Visitor Centre at Wepre Park. Cllr Bernie Attridge, Cabinet Member for Environment, said: “Wales Biodiversity Week is taking place from 6 to 14 June and this year’s theme is wildlife gardening.
