Armed Forces Covenant Information Event
Published: 15/06/2015
Continuing the commitment it pledged to the Armed Forces Community Covenant in
July 2013, Flintshire County Council is to host an Armed Forces Covenant
Information Event on Friday 10 July at 2pm at Clwyd Theatr Cymru.
The Covenant is a published voluntary pledge designed to allow businesses and
charitable organisations to express their support to the Armed Forces, and
commit to ways in which they can provide that support.
The Council is keen to encourage local businesses and organisations to sign the
Covenant and join the hundreds across the UK that have already done so.
At the Information Event, Armed Forces personnel will explain how the covenant
works along with the benefits and value of the support local organisations can
provide.
More information can be found at www.flintshire.gov.uk/covenant
If you are a local business or charitable organisation please register your
attendance by Friday 26 June at www.surveymonkey.com/s/AFCCRegistration or
email covenant@flintshire.gov.uk for more information.
Councillor Andy Dunbobbin, Armed Forces Champion said:
“I am very proud to Champion the Armed Forces in Flintshire. I would like to
encourage organisations, whether large or small, to come along on the 10 July
and learn more about the Covenant and discover what they can do to support
serving personnel, veterans and their families.”
