Family History for Beginners Workshop

A family history workshop for beginners will take place on Saturday 18 July at the Flintshire Record Office, The Old Rectory, Hawarden from 10 am to 1pm. Have you ever wondered where your ancestors lived, worked or went to school? Original records can help you to catch a glimpse of everyday Flintshire life in the past. Do you want to trace your family history using popular family history websites, like Ancestry and Find My Past? Staff will be on hand to show you a wide range of records including the Census; Birth, Marriage and Death records; Parish registers; and Electoral records. They will explain how to access information online and find out more from the original documents held at the Record Office. Booking is essential as spaces are limited. Cost is £10 per person.
