Residents are being consulted on plans to plant trees and carry out other environmental improvements in the Garden City area. People can attend an event at the St Andrews Community Hub, Garden City on Monday 13 July between 1pm– 7pm to hear more details about the proposals. Flintshire County Council has secured funding of £200,000 from Welsh Government through the Vibrant and Viable Places Regeneration Framework to carry out the works. There are plans to plant trees and shrubs in appropriate public locations, as well as replacing poor quality fencing and installing benches and picnic tables. Tree and hedgerow planting will also be offered to private and council homes where owners and tenants can commit to their future maintenance.
