Car Boot Sale to Close For Winter

Love Lane Car Boot Sale in Mold is to close for the winter season. The Sunday morning sale will close on 1 November and re-open on 3 April 2016. The sale is run by Flintshire County Council’s market service and during the summer months generates a small income for the authority however due to fewer traders in the colder months, it runs at a loss during the winter. Councillor Derek Butler, Cabinet Member for Economic Development, said: “As an authority we are facing unprecedented cuts to our budget and unfortunately the financial pressures on our services means we can no longer justify the cost of keeping the car boot sale open during the winter months.”
