New road safety projects

Flintshire County Council has announced 11 new road safety projects which will
be introduced during the current year.
The projects include 6 traffic parking order revisions, which will reduce
inconsiderate parking and congestion in some critical areas of the County and
the provision of 5 vehicular activated warning signs on roads where excessive
speeds have been recorded.
The sites have been prioritised following a review of all potential sites and
particularly those where requests for the installation of these safety features
have been received.
Councillor Bernie Attridge, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Environment
said;
I am pleased to be able to commit Council expenditure to the introduction of
these key highway safety features. All of the schemes have been assessed using
an agreed scoring system to ensure that we install the features on the roads in
most need of them
The locations of the traffic orders revisions are
Wrexham Road/Brook Street, Mold
Abermorddu school
Hawarden Road/Queensway, Hope
Fagl Lane, Hope
Penymynydd Road, Penymynydd
Liverpool Road, Buckley
The Vehicular Activated Signs will be installed at the following locations:
Western end of Ffynongroyw
Hawarden Road, Abermorddu
A5104 Treuddyn
Liverpool Road, Buckley
Main Road, Broughton
