Published: 14/07/2017
Approval of the NEW Homes Business Plan 2017/22 will be sought from Flintshire
County Council’s Cabinet when it meets on Tuesday 18 July.
The Plan, which has been approved by the NEW Homes Board, sets out key elements
of the company’s proposed growth plan to increase the number of properties
managed and owned as affordable housing over the next five years.
NEW Homes was established to provide a new alternative, affordable, housing
offer for local people.
Flintshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Housing, Councillor Bernie
Attridge, said:
“I am delighted that this innovative scheme is making a real difference to
meeting local housing need by providing a number of different ways in which
people can find affordable homes.
“The positive working relationship between the Council, NEW Homes and our
construction partners has meant we have been able to quickly deliver high
quality and affordable homes which has meant local people can remain living in
their own communities.”
