Guide to readily accessible information
Flintshire County Council is committed to making information available to the public as part of its normal business activities and uses its website to make this information available where it is practical to do so. If it is impracticable, or when an individual does not wish to access the information by the website, this guide gives contact details on how to obtain the information in paper or other format. In exceptional circumstances some information may be available only by viewing in person; for example, inspecting a public register maintained by the Council. Where this manner is specified, contact details are provided in the Guide, and an appointment to view the information will be arranged within a reasonable time scale. In providing information the Council will comply with its Welsh Language Scheme and with its obligations under Equalities legislation.

(a) has been obtained or recorded for the purpose of providing a public authority with information in connection with the provision of a service by the authority or the carrying out of any other function of the authority,
(b) is factual information which—
(i) is not the product of analysis or interpretation other than calculation, and
(ii) is not an official statistic (within the meaning given by section 6(1) of the Statistics and Registration Service Act 2007), and
(c) remains presented in a way that (except for the purpose of forming part of the collection) has not been organised, adapted or otherwise materially altered since it was obtained or recorded."
Information which is made routinely available will be reviewed and updated on a regular basis.
The classes of information will not generally include:
- information the disclosure of which is prevented by law, or exempt under the Freedom of Information Act, or is otherwise properly considered to be protected from disclosure;
- information in draft form;
- information that is no longer readily available as it is contained in files that have been placed in archive storage, or is difficult to access for similar reasons.
