Pest Control

All of our work is carried out with regard to health and safety and the protection of non-target animals.

We use pesticides and preventative measures to ensure that the infestations are identified and remedied as quickly and humanely as possible. We will also provide you with information on the best methods to prevent the pests from returning.

We Will Treat For The Following:

  • Rats
We will treat inside or outside.  Rat droppings are black/dark brown in colour and are approx ½ inch in length.
  • Mice
We treat indoors only, no treatment will be done outdoors or in gardens etc.  Mice droppings tend to look like black grains of rice.
  • Fleas
If you are being bitten around the lower leg and ankles and have cats/dogs at the property then you may have an infestation of fleas. The first course of action is to have the pet treated by a vet for fleas then contact us to arrange for an Officer to treat the premises if necessary. Further advice will be given when you place your request.  We treat indoors only, no treatment will be done outdoors or in gardens etc.  Treatment is chargeable as pet fleas can be avoided by responsible pet ownership i.e regular flea treatment on the pet by a veterinary surgeon / owner.
  • Wasps
We only treat outside (including outbuildings).  Treatment is chargeable, a concession will be applied if you are on Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance, Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or State Pension. Proof of benefits must be shown to Pest Control Officer otherwise you will be charged. The benefit must be payable to the homeowner/Tenant and not to dependants/children etc.
  • Crawling ants
We treat indoors only, no treatment will be done outdoors or in gardens etc.

We Do Not Treat For The Following:
